Experience the mysteries of the Gobi Ddsaesert, from towering sand dunes to ancient dinosaur fossils.
This 14-day high-altitude wildlife expedition is designed for serious wildlife photographers and dedicated mammal watchers seeking two of Asia’s most elusive predators: the Snow Leopard and Pallas’s Cat.
Operating in the remote ranges of the Altai Mountains and surrounding steppe ecosystems, this journey combines strategic tracking, expert local spotters, and ethically managed wildlife encounters.
Walk around the hotel.
Birds: Daurian Jackdaw, Red-billed Chough, Azure Tit,
Penduline Tit, Long-tailed Rosefinch, Azure-winged Magpie,
Demoiselle Crane, Booted Eagle etc.
Mammals: Pallas’s Pika, Long-tailed Ground Squirrel,
Travel to the mountains by dirt road to reach our Ger camp on
day 3.
During the days 4-7, we will focus on Snow Leopards and
Pallas’s Cats in particular with time spent scanning from
viewpoints. Depending on the latest information from herders
we may drive short distances to vary our viewpoint. We will
also spend time looking for key birds in the day and mammals
at night. Also some nights will be spent on spotlighting around
the camp.

Ground Squirrel, Northern Three-teod Jerboa, Midday Gerbil,
Mongolian Gerbil, Tolai Hare, Grey Wolf, Goitered Gazelle,
Mongolian Gazelle

do spotlighting in the night here.

Mammals: Black-tailed Gazelle, Asiatic Wild Ass, Great Gerbil
Near Dalanzadgad:
Birds: Oriental Plover, Greater Sand Plover
Mammals: Corsac Fox and Jerboas if necessary
